My project is called 'texture and portrait' so I've focused on flowers and people. So far I havent developed the theme much but I've taken a few shoots but I thought it might be fun to share.
So this is my first shoot and with this I was just trying out my initial ideas. I played around with colours, depth of field and editing. I think the lavender one is my favourtite because the depth of colour but the others have showed me how colours and texture of the plants can give the image a different theme. I love the depth of field on the last one and how it's not the traditional middle that is in focus. The red flowers were fun to work with because the colour is so rich and you really get a bold image.
This shoot was kind of weird and it looks a bit death inspired. I dont really know what I was going for put I think it was good development. It's not my favourite shoot but it's good to have work to criticize. I do love all the different textures and colours but the lighting and ISO wasnt very good so they are slightly grainy. The first image is the best, I think, because it has a real cold feel to it and goes well with the dead look ahah.
I hope you found this interesting, it's something a bit different but I wanted to make more personal content, as well as beauty and fashion. Hope you enjoyed and if you have any ideas/constructive criticism just leave it below and I'd love to hear! xo
Loved all the images but I really loved the final shoot! I agree it looks along the lines of death but isn't morbid at all. I love the colours, it definitely shows you took a lot of time over this. If you don't mind me asking what grade are you going for? :)

Aw thank you so much, I will be posting more! I'm really glad you liked it xx
DeleteIt's so cool that you get to do it as a subject, I always stuck with the 'traditional' subjects at school and would have loved to do something like this (also probably cause my school never offered it) - the final projects looks lovely, so glad you decided to share this post Sophie :) I love the water-themed shoots as well, and the flower petals all around, it's very ephemeral... I did wonder how many flowers it took you to fill up the bath tub though ;)

Please keep sharing your shoots, I would really love to see how your style and shots develop!
