Photography Post #1

I thought I'd start a little series showing some of my photography shoots. I love photography and it's one of the reasons I started blogging. I do A levels photography but I've never really shared my shoots with anyone, so I thought I'd show a few of my favourites now and again.

My project is called 'texture and portrait' so I've focused on flowers and people.  So far I havent developed the theme much but I've taken a few shoots but I thought it might be fun to share.

 So this is my first shoot and with this I was just trying out my initial ideas. I played around with colours, depth of field and editing. I think the lavender one is my favourtite because the depth of colour but the others have showed me how colours and texture of the plants can give the image a different theme. I love the depth of field on the last one and how it's not the traditional middle that is in focus. The red flowers were fun to work with because the colour is so rich and you really get a bold image.

This shoot was kind of weird and it looks a bit death inspired. I dont really know what I was going for put I think it was good development. It's not my favourite shoot but it's good to have work to criticize. I do love all the different textures and colours but the lighting and ISO wasnt very good so they are slightly grainy. The first image is the best, I think, because it has a real cold feel to it and goes well with the dead look ahah.

Some of these images havent been edited and finalized yet but this has to be my favourite shoot!It was graces research that inspired it and it worked out so well! I think the colours on top of the water, contrasted with the transparency off the water just works so well to create depth and texture. I love how each take is different because the flowers kept reacting differently to the water. Again it has this dead look, which we weren't going for but I think ti works really well to give the image a strange tone but it's not disturbing.
